History and description
Ceres Park, before known as NRGi Park and Århus Stadion, opened on 5 June 1920.
The stadium recorded its highest attendance in 1962 when 23,990 people visited a match against Esbjerg.
Århus Stadion got extensively redeveloped in the early 2000s, including the construction of new stands on three sides.
The stadium changed its name to NRGi Park in 2006 as a result of a sponsorship deal, and again in 2015 to Ceres Park as part of a new deal.
How to get to Ceres Park
Ceres Park is located towards the south of the city of Aarhus at just over 2 kilometres from Aarhus’ rail station and city centre. The walk to the stadium will take about half an hour.
Alternatively, one can catch bus 11 from the city centre. Take the bus from the Park Allé in the direction of Søholm, and get off at the Jyllands Allé/Vilhelms Bechs Vej. The journey only takes 7 minutes.
Alternatives are bus 16 and 18, which can both be taken just south of the rail station at the MP Bruunsgade. Take bus 16 in the direction of Holme Syd or bus 18 toward Moesgård Museum, and get off at the same stop as bus 11.
Address: Stadion Allé 70, DK-8000 Århus C
