Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that they are currently looking at sites in west London for a possible new stadium.
Any plans are still in a very premature state, but with the rise of the club to the Premier League, and finding itself limited with the smallest ground in the league and few expansion possibilities, the club is keen to improve its income potential.
Loftus Road can currently house a little over 18,000 fans, and even though the club doesn’t consistently sell out its home matches, current club president Tony Fernandes thinks it has the potential to at least double the number of visitors.
Queens Park Rangers is the second club in London that is currently looking at a move after Chelsea recently revealed to be considering a move to the Battersea Station site. The other West-London Premier League club, Fulham, seems to have decided in favour of redeveloping its current stadium, and recently presented its plans for Craven Cottage.
