History and description
Estadio de Mendizorroza (Mendizorrotza in Basque) officially opened on 27 April 1924. Over the years, it underwent several redevelopments, the last major one in 1998 following the club’s promotion to La Liga, which included filling up the corners of the stadium.
Between the 1950s and 1970s the stadium was also home to CD Vitoria.
How to get to Estadio de Mendizorroza
Estadio de Mendizorroza is located in the south-west of the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, roughly 1.5 kilometres from the train station and a little more from the city centre. The walk from the train station takes about 15 minutes, that from the city centre a few minutes more.
Trains connect Vitoria-Gasteiz with most major cities in northern and central Spain including Madrid, Barcelona, and Zaragoza.

Alaves Tickets
Alaves tickets can be bought online, by phone +34 945 13 10 18, at the club shop at Mendizorroza, at the club shop at General Alava Kalea 1 in Vitoria-Gasteiz’ city centre, or at the ticket windows of the stadium from 2 hours before the match.
Tickets will likely be available on the day for most matches save those against Barcelona and Madrid and the local derbies.
Ticket prices can depend on the opponent, but expect to pay €20.00 for a seat behind the goal and between €35.00 and €60.00 for a seat at one of the sides for a regular opponent.
