History and description
Stadion Miejski w Białymstoku opened in 2014. The stadium replaced Jagiellonia’s old stadium with the same name that had stood in its place since 1972.
By the mid-2000s the old stadium had fallen into disrepair and was taken over by the city, which opened the way to building a complete new stadium. Plans were presented in 2006 and demolition of the main stand started in 2008. The new stadium was to be built gradually so that Jagiellonia could keep playing at the ground.
However, the project soon fell to delays and in 2011 the contract between the city and the main contractor got terminated and both sides went to court to claim damages.
A new contractor was found, and in 2013 the new main stand was completed. Works then commenced on the other three sides and the complete new stadium opened on 9 October 2014. The first match was played 9 days later when Jagiellonia hosted Pogon (5-0).
How to get to Stadion Miejski w Bialymstoku
Stadion Miejski w Bialymstoku is located on the southern edge of the city of Bialystok at roughly 3 kilometres from the city centre and half a kilometre more from the main railway station.
It takes about 40 minutes to walk from the centre to the stadium. Alternatively, there are various buses that connect the city centre and railway station with the stadium.
From the city centre, take bus 3, 7, or 26. Take bus 3 from Legionowa, bus 7 from Plac Uniwersytecki, or bus 26 from Sienkiewicza. Get off at Uniwersytet Muzyczny (bus 3 and 26) or Stadion Miejski (bus 7). The journey will take roughly 10 minutes.
From the city centre, take bus 10 or 22. Both get to the stadium in a bit of a roundabout way though, expect a journey of 25 to 30 minutes. Get off at Uniwersytet Muzyczny (bus 10) or Stadion Miejski (bus 22).
Direct trains connect Bialystok with Warsaw central station multiple times a day. The journey takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Eat, drink, and sleep near Stadion Miejski w Bialymstoku
Stadion Miejski w Bialymstoku is located on the edge of the city, on one side bordered by forests and on the other by a quiet residential neighbourhood. There is not much around in terms of eating and drinking, which is better done in Bialystok’s city centre.
There are no hotels directly near Stadion Miejski, but Hotel Pod Herbem, on the way from the centre, is only a 15-minute walk away. Hotel BOSiR is another good option just at walking distance (25 minutes), and possibly even the well-rated Willa Pastel.

Jagiellonia Bialystok Tickets
Jagiellonia tickets can be bought online (print@home), in person at the Jaga shop at the main railway station, or at one of the other authorised sales points.
You need to bring your ID in order to be able to buy tickets.
Ticket prices range in price from 30.00 PLN for a seat in one of the corners to 100.00 PLN for a VIP seat at the main stand. Other tickets for one of the sides start at 40.00 PLN.
