History and description
Sports Complex E.A. Streltsov, initially called Torpedo Stadium, opened on 7 September 1960. The first decade it was just a training ground for Torpedo, and it took until 1977 for the first match to be played at the stadium.
In 1978, it became the home of Torpedo Moscow. At the same time, the stadium, which initially only consisted of one stand, got expanded to a proper football ground with a capacity of 16,000 spectators.
In 1997, Torpedo Stadium got renamed after former Torpedo player Eduard Streltsov. At the same time, Torpedo moved out for a spell at Luzhniki and Stadion Eduard Streltsov became the home of FC Moscow.
The stadium underwent a renovation in 1998 with new seats installed, which reduced capacity to 13,450 seats.
Torpedo briefly moved back in again between 2010 and 2013, before moving out again playing at a number of smaller venues, and moving back in again in 2017.
How to get to Torpedo Sports Complex
Sports Complex E.A. Streltsov is located in the south of Moscow on the east bank of the Moscow River. It lies about 5 kilometres south of the Red Square in the centre of Moscow.
The stadium lies a 10-minute walk way from metro station Avtozavodskaya, which is on the green line 2 that crosses right through Moscow’s city centre.

Torpedo Tickets
Torpedo Moscow tickets can be bought online.
Expect to pay from Rub. 300 for a seat at the side opposite the main stand to Rub. 700 for a central seat at the main stand.
