History and description
Rat Verlegh Stadion replaced the old NAC-Stadion located at the Beatrixstraat. Construction of the new stadium started in 2005, and it officially opened on 11 August 1996 with a friendly match between NAC and Brazilian side Grêmio (0-0).
In its first decade, Rat Verlegh Stadion went by several sponsor names, but in 2006 the club decided to adopt the name of Rat Verlegh, player of the club between 1912 and 1931, and a popular icon among the club’s fans.
Initial capacity was slightly lower with just over 17,000 seats, but a few minor renovations and the introduction of a small number of standing places have raised it to the current 19,000.
How to get to Rat Verlegh Stadion
Rat Verlegh Stadion is located toward the north-east of the city of Breda at about 2 kilometres from the city centre and half a kilometre more from the city’s main train station.
The stadium can be reached with bus 2. Take the bus from the train station in the direction of Haagse Beemden. After about 12 minutes get off at stop NAC Stadion. The bus also passes through the city centre. Buses run two to four times an hour.

NAC Breda Tickets
Tickets for NAC Breda games can be bought online, or at the Service & Information counter at Rat Verlegh Stadion.
If tickets remain available, these can be bought on the gate on the day of the match. NAC only tend to sell out a few high-profile matches per year.
NAC may require possession of a NAC Fan Card to be able to buy tickets for a number of high-profile matches.
Ticket prices range from €15.00 for a seat behind the goal to €27.50 for a seat at the main stand.
