The new stadiums that Portugal built for the Euro 2004 Championships were of great architectural beauty. Unfortunately, these stunning stadiums failed to attract new crowds and a decade later some stand barely used and others struggle to fill a third of the seats. That is, with the exception of Portugal’s top three, who continue to thrive and offer a great matchday experience for the visitor.
