History and description
Estadio Santa Laura-Universidad SEK got built in 1922 to serve as the new home of Union Espanola. It officially opened on 10 May 1923 with a friendly match between Union Espanola and Audax Italiano.
The stadium underwent a major refurbishment in 2009 including the replacement of wooden benches by plastic seats.
Since 2008, the stadium has been operated by the SEK University, adding the second part to the stadium name.
How to get to Estadio Santa Laura
Estadio Santa Laura is located in the Independencia area in the north of Santiago at about 4 kilometres from the historic city centre.
The stadium is easily reached by metro. Station Plaza Chacabuca lies right next to the stadium. Plaza Chacabuca is on line 3, which runs through the historic centre and can be reached fron the upscale Providencia area by transferring from line 1 at Universidad de Chile station.
Union Espanola Tickets
Union Espanola tickets can be bought online through Puntoticket or at the ticket windows of Estadio Santa Laura.
Expect to pay from $4,500 for a seat behind the goal to $18,000 for a central seat at the main stand.
