History and description
Parc des Sports Annecy opened on 18 July 1964 with an athletics event.
The stadium was for most of its history the sole home of Annecy FC, but after Evian promoted to Ligue 2 and their Stade Joseph-Moynat could not meet the league requirements, they decided to move to the Parc des Sports (after a preferred move to the Stade de Geneve was rejected by UEFA).
Evian, however, went into administration in 2016 and the Parc des Sports is therefore now the sole home of Annecy FC again.
How to get to Parc des Sports
Parc des Sports is located in the north of the small city of Annecy, just under 2 kilometres from the train station and city centre. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the stadium.
From the A41 motorway, take exit 16 toward Annecy. Keep following for Annecy into the city and continue straight onto the Boulevard de la Rocade. Continue until you see the signs for the Parc des Sport pointing left to the Avenue du Stade.
Address: Rue Pierre de Coubertin, 74000 Annecy
