Stadion Cair got built in 1963. It could hold about 40,000 spectators at that time.
In the early 2010s, plans were presented for an extensive redevelopment of the stadium involving the construction of four new covered stands.
Works started in 2011, but stopped two years later with three new stands built, but without the main stand being rebuilt or a roof added. The club still hope to complete the project in the upcoming years.
