History and description
Stadion Miejski Katowice opened in 1955. In the next years, various new stands were erected including a seater stand on the side and terraces behind the goals.
In the 1980s, a new main stand was built, but no further changes have been made since.
In the 2010s, plans were made for the construction of a new 12,000-seater stadium in its place, but these came to nothing due to a lack of funding.
