History and description<\/h3>\n

Coopers Stadium, earlier known as Hindmarsh Stadium, was built to serve as a football-specific venue for the state of South Australia. It got built at the site of an old cricket ground, and further developed during the 1960s.<\/p>\n

Hinsmarsh Stadium underwent a redevelopment for the 2000 Olympics, during which it hosted various games in the football tournament.<\/p>\n

In 2013, the stadium got renamed Coopers Stadium following a naming rights deal.<\/p>\n

How to get to\u00a0Coopers Stadium<\/h3>\n

Coopers\u00a0Stadium is located just over 3 kilometres north-west of Adelaide city centre.<\/p>\n

The stadium can be easily reached by public transport. One option is the Glenelg Tram<\/a>, which runs from Glenelg on the coast to the city centre and further on to\u00a0Coopers (Hindmarsh) Stadium. The stadium lies a short walk from the last stop on the line, Entertainment Centre.<\/p>\n

It is also possible to reach the stadium by train. Bowen Station is a small walk from the stadium and serviced by regular trains on the City-Grange and City-Outer Harbour lines. You can catch the train at Adelaide Railway Station.<\/p>\n

Coopers\u00a0Stadium stadium is located within a few blocks from both the A7 and A13, two major roads crossing the city. Access to the stadium is from Manton and Holden Street.<\/p>\n
