Swedbank Stadion got built as a modern replacement for\u00a0Malm\u00f6’s old Malm\u00f6 Stadion.<\/p>\n

Plans for the new stadium, which was to be built adjacent to the old one, were approved late 2005 and building works started in April 2007.<\/p>\n

Construction of the Swedbank Stadion was completed in early 2009, and it officially opened on 13 April with a league match between Malm\u00f6 and \u00d6rgryte (3-0). The costs of construction had been SEK 695 million.<\/p>\n

How to get to Swedbank Stadion<\/h3>\n

Swedbank Stadion is located about 3 kilometres south of Malm\u00f6\u2019s city centre and Malm\u00f6’s main railway station.<\/p>\n

If arriving by public transport, take\u00a0bus<\/a>\u00a03 from the main railway station in the direction of Malm\u00f6 V\u00e4rnhem. Get off at stop Malm\u00f6 Stadion. The ride takes about 12 minutes.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, take bus 5 in the direction of Malm\u00f6 Hyllie Station. Get off after 15 minutes at stop Malm\u00f6 Lorensborg. From there it\u2019s a 10-minute walk to the stadium. Both buses run\u00a0multiple times per hour.<\/p>\n
