History and description<\/h3>\n

Stadion Poljud was built in 1979 to host the 1979 Mediterranean Games. The stadium, with its two arced roofs, was designed to have the shape of a seashell.<\/p>\n

Stadion Poljud could initially hold 50,000 fans, but this was later reduced when the stadium got converted into an all-seater.<\/p>\n

The stadium has an athletics track circling\u00a0the pitch and regularly hosts major athletics events. The stadium has also regularly hosted music concerts including the Ultra festival.<\/p>\n
