Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods Park, also known as DSG Park, officially opened on 7 April 2007 with a league match between the Colorado Rapids and DC United. It had taken 18 months for the stadium to get built.<\/p>\n

The complex came at a cost of $131 million, which included the stadium, a number of other sports facilities, and surrounding infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods Park is located in Commerce City, a northern suburb of Denver, about 8 miles from downtown Denver.<\/p>\n

If using public transport, the stadium can be reached with bus<\/a> 88, which leaves from the Stapleton Park & Ride on Quebec Street. Get off at the intersection of Quebec Street and 56^{th<\/sup> Avenue. Buses run once every half-an-hour on weekdays and once every hour on the weekend. Stapleton P&R can be reached with bus 28 or 38 from downtown Denver.<\/p>\n}

By car, if coming from the east (I-70) or downtown Denver (I-25 connecting with the I-70), leave the I-70 at exit 278 Quebec Street. Turn north onto Quebec Street and follow for about 2 miles before\u00a0 turning right onto 60^{th<\/sup> Avenue. The stadium lies shortly ahead.<\/p>\n}

From the I-70 west, leave at exit 280 Havana Street and turn north onto Havana Street. Follow until the intersection with 56^{th<\/sup> Avenue and turn left. Continue until the next intersection and turn right onto Valentia Street. The stadium lies shortly ahead.<\/p>\n}
