Stade de Gen\u00e8ve officially opened on 16 March 2003 with a match between Servette and Young Boys (1-1). Construction of the stadium had started two years earlier. The stadium came at a cost of CHF 240 million.<\/p>\n
Stade de Gen\u00e8ve was one of the playing venues during the Euro 2008<\/a> championships, hosting three group matches.<\/p>\n In 2017, the stadium hosted the Swiss Cup Final between Basel and Sion (3-0). The stadium has also been used as a home\u00a0by French side Evian, and has frequently hosted matches of the Swiss national team.<\/p>\n Stade de Gen\u00e8ve is located in the south of the city of Geneva, about 3.5 kilometres from Geneva\u2019s historic centre and a kilometre more from Geneva\u2019s main railway station.<\/p>\nHow to get to Stade de Geneve<\/h3>\n
